Merchant House Antiques (MHA) is ideally located within the historic market town of Honiton in Devon, the Antiques capital of the South West of England.

It was established in 1995 by Christian Giltsoff after many successful years trading in the family antiques business in nearby Budleigh Salterton. Christian is proud to be the fourth generation in his family to deal in high quality Antiques and Fine Art.

MHA is renowned for its customer service, knowledge & expertise in the Antiques trade. Christian makes regular buying trips to France, which is an excellent source of farmhouse tables, commodes, gilt mirrors, dining chairs, wardrobes and decorative antiques. Another highly respected member of the team is Ian Wilford who adds his 30+ years knowledge of antiques to help provide an extensive selection of locally sourced goods; this makes the shop very interesting and an exciting place to visit time after time: as many of our clients have commented " the stock is constantly changing".

On offer is an exciting & exclusive range of good quality English & Continental Antique furniture predominately dating from the 18th & 19th, early 20th centuries ( Georgian , Victorian & Edwardian ). There is also and excellent range of mirrors, chandeliers, silver, china & decorative items.

Merchant House Antiques is open 6 days a week Monday - Saturday , 10 - 5 and there is always a warm welcome , Christian's mother Christine who has also been many years in the Antiques business (and in Interior Design) is at the helm on Wednesdays and Saturdays, she has a great eye for colour and design!

Christian is on hand Tuesdays and Fridays, Ian is available on Mondays & Thursdays to complete the week.
